There are some people who believe that the Midland Highway between Hobart and Launceston should be upgraded to a four-lane carriageway for the whole distance. We say that for less money you could have a fast passenger train that runs at 200 km/h and gets you there FASTER. We are confident it would be SAFER, CLEANER and above all CHEAPER.
